Suitable for an advanced beginner, these fingerless mittens are knit flat, so they are a perfect project for people who don’t like using dpns. The pattern includes instructions for adult sizes small, medium, and large.

The mittens will knit up fast and keep your hands warm and comfy while still keeping your fingers free. Perfect for wearing while knitting or crocheting in cold places!

Two 50g balls of Classic Alpaca DK weight yarn (Alpaca Yarn Co.) will make one pair of these mittens, with yarn to spare. Use 2 balls of one color, or mix two different colors together for fun and interesting mittens. The gauge is important for correct sizing, so make sure to check your gauge.

You only use a cable needle 3 times per mitten, so if you’re new to cables, this is a great beginning project.

This pattern is also available as a kit in my Etsy store, http://www.etsy.com/shop/AlpacaYarnShop?section_id=6351762. The kit includes the pattern and 2 balls of Alpaca Yarn Co. Classic Alpaca yarn (your choice of colors) for $16.
