Mochi Dinosaurs
Create your own prehistoric party with 6.5 different dinosaurs in this Curious Creatures Mochi Dinosaurs crochet pack! It features unique round friends inspired by the shape of the Japanese pastry, Mochi!
THIS LISTING IS FOR A DIGITAL PDF WITH INSTRUCTIONS TO MAKE YOUR OWN AND NOT A FINISHED TOY
This pattern is suitable for beginners but you should have a decent knowledge of the basics of crochet such as working into a chain, single crochet, increses and decreases, etc. I am always available to help if you find yourself struggling though!
In this pack you’ll find instructions for 2 kinds of Tiny Trex, a Baby Hatchling, A Baby Brontosaurus (With Plesiosaur mod), A Toddler Triceratops, and a Small Stegosaurus.
Each finished dinosaur is around 4inches tall/long when made with worsted weight and 6inches tall/long when made with size 6 chenille! They take just a few yards of yarn, they’re perfect stash busters, and only take about an hour making them a great quick make for markets!
Gauge is not important for Amigurumi as long as your tension remains consistent. I recommend using the Yarn Under technique to get tight stitches that won’t show stuffing through them.
You will need:
-8mm or 12mm safety eyes
-Worsted or Plush yarn
-a hook appropriate for your yarn size (I used a 4 with worsted and a 5.5 with chenille but your hook choice will depend on your tension)
-A darning needle
-sewing pins
