Crochet your own beautiful Mochila Marla bag with this easy to follow tutorial. The pattern includes full written instructions as well as charts.
This pattern is for a medium size bag, the final dimensions are approximately 7.5” (19 cm) in diameter, and 10” (25 cm) tall. The strap woven for the pictured bag measures 36” (90 cm).

Experience Needed:
Basic crochet skills. How to start with a magic circle/ring, how to increase in the round, and how to change colors.
Materials Needed:
-Scheepjes Catona (100% mercerized cotton, 125 m/50 g)
--A - Root Beer (157) 3 x 50 g
--B - Amethyst (240) 2 x 50 g
--C - Deep Ocean Green (391) 2 x 50 g
--D - Old Rose (408) 2 x 50 g
--E - Blue Bird (247) 2 x 50 g
--If you plan on weaving your strap, or using a purchased strap, you will only 1 ball each of colors B, C, D, and E.
you may substitute other brands of yarn, but for the best results, and the proper size bag, make sure the yarn you purchase is 100% mercerized cotton and 125m/50g.
