This lovely newborn bonnet is posted for free on a knitting blog.

It is knit in a mock cable stitch, worked only in knit and purl stitches.

You can use any double knitting yarn, the bonnet in the photo was made in a pure merino which shows the textured stitch off beautifully.

This baby bonnet is very stretchy and will last baby a good few months.
