Cast on the pretty Mock me shawl~
This easy to create crescent shaped shawl is mostly knitted in Garter stitch, top down with an ever increasing and interesting lacy appearing edge. The bottom border is done in a mock cable pattern, hence the name. It is very easy to do and without a cable needle! Everyone will think you cabled the beautiful border~
A perfect fool the eye project…

The blocked measurements are: 89” in total span along border and 15” in height.
Yarn
1 Skein of Yarnology with 238 yards and 7 changes in varying textures, weights, fibers and colors.
1 Skein of Bambon with 154 yards in a DK weight in a blend of 60% cotton and 40% bamboo.

Alternatively use your stash in 7 portions of varying weights in C1 sport, C2/3 fingering, C4 worsted, C5 DK, C6 fingering, C7 sport (in that order) in portions of 34 yards each and in colors that will please you.
Plus a DK weight yarn, 152 yards for the bottom border.

US size 10.5 (6.5 mm) circular needle 40” (101 cm) in length
Darning needle or crochet hook for weaving in ends
Gauge
3 sts and 7 rows in 1” of Garter stitch, unblocked, counting 4 ridges in sport weight yarn
