DESCRIPTION
This unisex Mod Revival Houndstooth Hat has a fuller crown which is very reminiscent of the Mod 60’s that is popping up in fashion again.

You can’t go wrong with a classic white and black houndstooth, but is would be just as nice in more traditional colours of the hound hunting club or the brights that are all the rage today.

There are several ways to style this hat. It can be worn straight on pulled down to cover the ears. This gives good hairline coverage which makes it suitable for chemo patients that have hair loss. For that reason I am including this pattern in my Cancer Hat Series. It can also be worn tweaked to the side more like a peaked beret or pull the fullness to the front and it becomes a cap, “Peaky Blinders” style.

You can zhuzh it up with a buckle detail, or add a small pom for the more traditional sport cap version.

Whether you select muted tweed shades, sporty colours or bold combinations, the Mod Revival Newsboy Hat design provides the versatility for them all.

Level - Intermediate.
The pattern is made in the round using combinations of single and double crochet. The colour is changed for each round and the yarn is carried up to the next row.
