Modern Granny Shawl
This is a digital pattern for a shawl made out of granny squares and it looks so modern, even your granny could wear it ;-)
I used sock yarn to make this shawl and I enjoyed designing and making this shawl very much, the color repeats are so lovely! Any kind of yarn with color repeat would be lovely in this pattern!
This 8-page pattern has written instructions for each round and also a crochet chart. The squares are joined-as-you-go in the last round, so there is no sewing involved! Then a simple border is added and your shawl is ready to wear!
This works up very quickly so it would be a lovely Christmas present for someone special, maybe your granny ? ;-)
Supplies:
- 125 gram sock yarn, I used Lammy New Running color 412 (50 grams, 210 meter / 229 yard)
- Crochet hook 4,5 mm
Stitches used: slip stitche, chain, double crochet, treble crochet (US crochet terms are used in this pattern).
