This gorgeous baby blanket is knit from the centre outwards.
The resulting square blanket can be made bigger or smaller easily.

I used a very easy lace pattern which is reversible, it looks equally attractive on both sides and has a modern geometric look.

The afghan is nice and stretchy, making it easy to wrap around your bundle of joy.

Made with circular needles.

A quick project with a pretty modern lace pattern. Worked on circular needles ( 80 cm or 32″ and 5 mm or size 8), finished size measures 31.5″ square.

Materials: Worsted Weight Wool yarn with gradient effect, about 400 g, depending on type used.
Get a spare ball if in doubt. Try Cascade Casablanca or Drops Big Delight.

5 mm circular knitting needles, the longer the better at least 92 cm (36”)

5 mm double pointed needles (optional, if not using magic loop cast on)

Stitch markers, or waste yarn, which I find is easier to use
