This pair of socks is knit from the toe up so can easily be adjusted for foot length as you knit. The pattern is clearly charted and written out. I used 2 balls of yarn and started off by knitting both socks together on my circular needles until I got to the heel, then finished them each one at a time. There was plenty of yarn left on each skein to make the socks longer if necessary. The foot length is 8”. The beads are threaded on just before it is time to knit them in. Each bead is knitted into place properly so they do not fall or twist to the back of the fabric. After learning the technique to knit rows of beads you can have lots of fun designing your own beaded borders and bands. These socks were inspired after a holiday in Chicago. I was so impressed with all the wonderful architecture and art I came home and designed the Modernist Socks. The bead work band pops and these will be super cute in the summer with a short skirt and little hiking boots.
