Moderno Kimono
This long swingy kimono style long vest is meant as a decoration on the body as opposed to something that will keep you warm. Easily made larger, should you wish. Options are included for knitting the Moderno Kimono differently….EX: Use a DK/light worsted weight yarn rather rather than double stranding and making the yoke a different stitch pattern.
Construction: The YOKE is knit first, starting at the lower edge of the front yokes, then up to the shoulder line, and then down the back. Then picking up the front YOKES separately and knitting down to the bottom. Neck edging, arm edging and side tabs at the end. The i-cord bind off makes a beautiful finished edge as well as firming those edges.
