Mogno
Nestled in the valley of the small village of Mogno, Switzerland lives an astonishing bit of architecture, the Church of San Giovanni Battista designed by architect Mario Botta. Using marble and granite alternately, Botta has achieved a striking bit of wonder for us to gaze upon.
Mogno is a beautifully simple cowl, with thoughtful construction so that there is no “wrong side” to be seen. Because of it’s double thick fabric Mogno is sure to keep your neck toasty on those chilly days. Just choose two of your favorite colors and enjoy.
This cowl is knit using 2 skeins of The Fibre Company’s Arranmore Light. You will need approximately 320 yds of the main color (shown in Cronan) and approximately 120 yds of the contrast color (shown in St. Claire) to complete your project. If you wish to make a longer cowl, please note that you will likely need a second skein of the main color.
Finished measurements are 8” wide with a 27” circumference.
Happy knitting!
