Mohair Cable Fingerless Mitts
Who’d have thought, mohair mitts? But they are dreamily cosy and so soft too! These are ideal for the colder days as autumn transitions into winter with keys to hold and coffee to buy.
Chunky yarn and fingers-free is the way to go until the coldest days, when you can slip a pair of gloves underneath for a second layer, and still appreciate the work you’ve put into this snuggly pair of mitts.
This is a printable, pdf download.
Who is this for?
This pattern is ideal for an intermediate cable knitter. It’s a small project (with great results!) and is perfect for getting used to cabling abbreviations more frequently in a pattern they are a good learning tool You will only use the beginner terms from cabling: C4F and C4B. And you’ll be knitting these flat and sewing a side seam, so don’t panic if you’re worried about cabling and knitting in the round.
Why do you need it?
Adding shaping to your cabling skills is perfect for then attempting larger cabled items. (and who wouldn’t want these mitts anyway?!)

100g chunky mohair yarn (shown in photos is John Lewis & Partners Mohair Yarn, Chunky)
