Worsted weight yarn is not necessary for the cap portion. A bulky weight yarn will work just fine especially if you want it to keep you warm. Worsted will be just fine for the hawk portion of the hat.

As much as I wanted to charge for this, I just couldn’t. I made the pink and grey hat forever ago but this time I decided to write down the pattern. I’m going off to college in Reno, Nevada in the fall so I want to be prepared for the cold. Plus I’ll look really cool with my mohawk flying in the wind as I ride my bike.
