Mojo Mender Shawl
A sideways, crescent-shaped shawl with a unique, but easy, rolled eyelet edge that is sure to bring back your knitting mojo!
This shawl can be knit in either fingering or sport weight yarn.
It doesn’t matter if you are a beginning or expert knitter there are times your knitting ‘mojo’ evaporates. This shawl was designed to bring back that mojo! It’s simple without being boring, uses 320-440 yards or less of yarn and is an easy to wear, eye-catching design.
This is a simple pattern that looks complex. It is knit from end to end in one piece, including borders and edging, mainly in stockinette stitch with a few easy lace patterns and garter stitch thrown in to keep it interesting.
Due to the end-to-end construction of this shawl, it can be easily made smaller or larger. Instructions on how to change to use the majority of your yarn are given in the pattern.
Two samples were knit using approximately 310 yards of Fibranatura Flax which is listed as a DK weight yarn, but is really more sport-weight. The shawl can also be made with fingering yarn, such as Malabrigo Sock.
errata. The term SSP isn’t defined in the key. It is the purl equivalent of SSK, or slip, slip purl 2 together through the back loop, a left leaning decrease.
Thanks so much to test knitters StormyK9, Parrotpurl, kottaviano, bluemodesty, milluos and evilsquirrel.
