The following stitches are used in this pattern:
MC – Magic Circle
CH – Chain
ST - Stitch
SC – Single Crochet
INC – Increase. Work two single crochet into designated stitch.
DEC – Decrease. Single crochet two together.
HDC – Half Double Crochet
DC – Double Crochet
SL ST – Slip Stitch

Gauge:
18 stitches x 26 rows = 4 x 4 inch square swatch. Using the hook that obtains this gauge will yield a Dalmatian that is approximately 8 inches tall by 4 inches wide. Every person who crochets naturally works with a different tension, and the hook size and gauge can be adjusted to make your item larger or smaller.
