Momiji ‘mom-ee-jee’ is a brand of collectible, hand-painted dolls inspired by Asian style and contemporary illustration. Each Momiji has a small space in the base to hide a secret message on a blank piece of folded card which is included with the doll. The dolls are a contemporary form of traditional Japanese Kokeshi dolls. This idea has been my inspiration for this project.

This character was made of acrylic and cotton thread. To create it of 6.3” inch you must use a 2.5mm crochet hook. The filling used was wadding (or synthetic filling siliconized).
Making this amigurumi requires intermediate skills in the art of crochet. In the course of the construction of this project, you will be able to gain experience that will allow you in the future to contribute details and solutions to new projects that will improve your results. Without leaving behind that as an art you should always be in search of your expression.
