• DESCRIPTION

The hats are easy to make, with beginner knitters in mind.

Using knit and purl stitches, you will create ribbing, learn to knit in the round and it will also introduce you to decreasing and shaping.

These hats will be super cozy to wear in the cold weather.

Yarn

1 x skein of Kartopu Melange Wool 100g (170m) in grey M1009

1 x skein of Kartopu Melange Wool 100g (170m) in pink MK135

Medium 04 Yarn (worsted/aran)

Needles

Set of 6mm (US 10) 16″ circular knitting needles

Please note - you may have to change your needles for the decreases of the hat if working on the circulars becomes too tight.

This would mean using a set of size 6mm double-pointed needles (DPNs).

If you do not have those, you could use a 60cm/24” cable and use the magic loop technique.

• SKILLS

Level – Easy

This is an easy level knitting pattern and the techniques involved are the knit stitch, purl stitch, increasing, decreasing and working in the round.

• SIZING

Baby Beanie Size – H w/o pom = 8.5 inches / W = 4.5 inches (unstretched).

Mom Beanie Size – H w/out pom = 10 inches / W = 6 inches (unstretched).
