Mommy & Me Turkey Hats
This is a fun pattern …a BIG EYED turkey, with an even larger beak and a red “snood” hanging down the side of his nose. Does he have feathers, you bet he does … and they are various colors too.
The pattern includes a chart with generic sizes, if you don’t have the “head” around for the hat you are making. Sizes start with preemies and go through adult males. I have a BIG HEAD and the adult male size fits my head perfectly, as you can tell from the photo.
Since you are using a size chart, there is no need for a gauge … I love this about the patterns . . they are made for the head you want and can be adapted VERY EASILY!
Most of the yarn used were scraps of Vanna’s Choice (I did use 1 full skein of brown for the adult hat) that I had “lying around” the house without labels. The other yarns I used were Herrschners Cotton a’la Mode and some Cotton Ease. I knew what colors I wanted and just looked for scraps that would fit the colors I had in mind.
My neighbor and niece say they like the hats I design because they fit well for at least two years. Knowing this, you know they h ave a lot of “give/stretch” to them . . but they are not loose enough to fall off.

100% of the purchase price for the pattern goes to no-kill animal shelters in Western New York and in my home state of Indiana.
