Mommy & baby Amina – Amigurumi elephant mother with baby crochet pattern - English PATTERN only

The pattern is written in English and using US crochet terms.

The pattern is straight forward and easy to follow. There is over 100 pictures in this pattern – lots of step by step images, especially on the special parts.

You need to know the basic crochet skill for amigurumi, especially how to work in rounds or spiral. Some examples of stitches; slip stitch, single crochet, bobble stitches, increases and decreases.

You will find good instructions how to give the face a more depth and how to make the legs moveable with only yarn (if you don’t want to use security joints). (Note, only Mommy.)

Materials required:

– Yarn – I used a cotton and acrylic blend DK weight yarn; Scheepjes Softfun. I used approx. 1,5 skeins (50 g + approx. 25-30 g) for the main color, and for ears, toes and bow I used leftovers. If you using bigger hook, I would recommend to have at least 2 skeins or more of the main color.)
– Crochet hook 2.5 mm
– Fibrefill / toy stuffing
– Security eyes, 10 mm (mommy)
– Security eyes, 7 mm (baby)
– Optional: 4 security joints (only for mommy)
– Stitch markers, scissor and embroidery needle

Size
Mommy: approx. 17,5 cm in height (sitting)
Baby: approx. 10 cm in height (sitting)
