This pattern will help you make a beautiful manatee toy! The pattern consists of 7 pages with step by step detailed instructions and pictures to explain the more challenging parts.

The size of finished toy is approximately 24 cm / 9,5” when using DK yarn and 3mm hook. You can use any yarn you like, as long as you’re using a hook size that gets you a nice and firm fabric, without filling shining through. I like to use a hook that’s one size smaller than what the yarn asks for.

You should have the basic crochet skills. If you’re a beginner, be prepared to search for tutorials and learn!

Skill level - medium.

SKILLS REQUIRED: magic ring, single crochet, increase, decrease, chain, slip stitch, single crochet in front loop. Basic sewing and embroidery techniques.

You will need:
- DK yarn (I used 100% wool, Drops karisma, 50g/100m)
Colors: light gray (ca 170m / 190 yds)
A little bit of black yarn for the eyes
A little bit of light pink yarn for cheeks (optional).

Darning needle for sewing
3mm hook, or size needed to get your desired fabric
Marker (I use a paperclip; you could use some waste yarn as well)
Scissors
Fiberfill
