My Mom used to make this hat for all the little girls and my niece, now a Grandmother herself, asked me for one for her granddaughter! Unfortunately, we saved Mom’s recipes but I don’t know what happened to her patterns. So I ended up working on it and finally came up with one we are very pleased with! Here is the resulting pattern!

This adorable hat will not only provide great warmth but is also fun to wear with it’s curly-q ponytail!

It is written for a girl about ages 4 to 6 but it can be easily sized for an older child by simply going up a hook size or using a dc instead of a hdc.
