Design and construction
Monaco is a cropped top, figure-fitting due to bust and back darts (for adult sizes). It also has a lacy band along the V-neck to accentuate the bust. Spaghetti-straps are tied on the shoulders.

The top is worked in 2 pieces: front and back, which are then seamed together and finished off with some hem edging.

Sizes
Pattern includes 5 sizes:
Child, Teen, Adult XS-S, M and L-XL. Finished garment bust circ. 60 (70, 80, 90, 102) cm / 24 (28, 32, 36, 40)“.
Intended to be worn with anywhere from 5 cm/2” negative ease to 5 cm/2” positive ease, depending on personal preference.

Pattern format
The pattern is predominantly charted (front and back separately for each size), with general instructions given in written form.
It uses relatively simple crochet stitches (US terminology): chains, single, half-double, double and triple crochet + picot.

Yarn
Any (light)fingering weight (300-400 m / 325-435 yds per 100 g/ 3.5 oz) yarn with summer content (e.g. cotton, bamboo, linen, silk; can also contain acrylic). Yarns listed on this page are just examples, you can use anything that feels nice-to-skin in hot weather and gives you the right gauge.

You will need a total of ~300 (400, 500, 650, 800) m/ 330 (435, 545, 710, 875) yds.

You can use solid, tonal or lightly variegated yarns. You can also use contrast color(s) to accentuate the lace elements or edging (see testers’ photos).

Gauge
28 stitches by 13 rows of double crochet (US terms!)

Crochet hook
I suggest using size ~2mm / US A-0 / UK 14, but you might need a different size to get gauge with selected yarn
