Monarch Wings Shawl is my interpretation of a flight of Monarch butterflies across the sky. The shawl is crescent shaped with a center panel, beginning at top center back and worked down and outward. The shawl is appropriate for solid or tonal yarns, gradient yarns, and for handpainted yarns with similar color values. The pattern contains directions for working a Japanese hook stitch which is used for the defining lines in the shawl.

Note: The color changes in the large model are due to use of a gradient yarn. This pattern does not contain instructions for working color changes.

Shawl size may be customized for greater yardage with included instructions.
