Moncton Monkey
INTRODUCTION
Moncton monkey is named for the Canadian city where my husband and I first met. This monkey is made in 10 pieces: snout, 2 ears, head, body, 2 arms, 2 legs , tail. A 1.5” diameter rattle insert will fit within the head.
This piece is worked in a continuous spiral. Do not join rounds. A stitch marker, such as a piece of contrasting yarn placed at either the beginning or the end of the round can help keep track of round in the spiral.. The round stitch count (number of stitches in the round) is given in brackets at the end of most rounds. Stuff as you go (polyester filling, cotton, yarn scraps, etc.). Finish the piece by sewing together the parts.
