’Monday’ is an easy knit. It’s a triangular shawl, knitted from the tip up with increases on one side. After challenging ‘Basiu’ I wanted to design something straight forward and relaxing, especially as we all want our Mondays to be easy!
This shawl incorporates a beginners level cables pattern and thousands of knit stitches. Cables will keep you occupied, while garter will let you do a bit of mindless knitting. Both sides of the shawl have a pretty finish, you knit this border as you go and it prevents the edges from rolling up.

You’ll need 3 skeins of DK/Worsted yarn to get a decent size shawl, big enough to wrap around your neck.
Because the cable pattern is repeatable, you can customize your ‘Monday’ and by adding more yarn, or by using i.e. aran and different size of needles, you can knit it much bigger.
Last but not least, the shawl is unisex and it looks equally great on whoever chooses to wear it.
