If you have been to Asia, or an Asian store, you’ve probably seen a statue of a cat waving its paw at you. A friend of mine once asked me what’s the deal with the cat. I told him that it is the Money cat. Besides welcoming the customers to the store, its waving paw also says, ‘ Come, money come’. My friend thought it was hilarious, but it is a very common mascot for Asians everywhere.

I crocheted this cat in red, orange, and gold, the good-luck colors in the Asian culture. But you can do any color combination for this adorable cat.
