This pattern is made for elastic yarn. It is possible also to make with yarn, that doesn’t stretch, but some adjustments might be needed and the texture might not be as good as with elastic yarn, especially when wet.

Skill level: INTERMEDIATE
You should know the basic stiches: chain stitch, single crochet, slip stitch, double crochet. All the other sticthes used in the pattern are explained. Includes for example Extended sc (EXsc), pigot stitches.

This pattern is written in English, standard American terms and includes many photos of the process.
Pattern includes instructions for the following sizes XS, S, M, L, XL.
Also instructions to add lining to the bust and bottom parts and add elastics to the straps.

Materials needed:

Yarn> 7(7,8.8,10.6,10.6) oz or 200(200,250,300,300) g of elastic yarn.
In yds/meters> 525(615,700,800,900) yds or 480(560,640,730,820)
meters.

Yarn weight is fine/2/sport/light or /3/ DK/light worsted. The pieces in
the pictures are made with Rosas Crafts Stretch, Other suggestions for
example> Cascade Fixation, Kartopu Marmaris, Valeria di Roma
Elastic. This swimsuit is designed for elastic yarn and if made with
yarn, that does not stretch, some adjustments may be needed. Check
the gauge.

Crochet hook: 3mm/D/3 - 3.5mm/E/4.

Optional> Narrow elastic band (width 0.3-1cm) 120-140cm / 50”-55”.
Stretchy, lightweight fabric for lining approx. 50cm / 20”.
