Animal granny Square Collection: Chicken - Puppy - Tiger - Koala - Bunny - Chick - Ox - Mouse - Dragon - Turkey - Piggy - Kitty - Duckling - Frog

Hi crocheters! It’s been a while since I’ve posted an animal face granny square. Rest assured that I haven’t abandoned this line of designs, I have several ideas that are still cooking, but I am not always satisfied with what I come up with. This cute monkey, however, made me happy with his big smile, so I decided to share the pattern with you all. It has the same basic granny square that I have been using for all my other animal granny square collection and reworked the face parts to those of a monkey. I’ve attached the ears on their straight side, but I kept their round side free. For the background, I’ve chosen a dark green color, which created a nice contrast with the light brown color of the monkey, but it’s up to you if you like to choose another color. Materials you will need:

• Suggested Yarn: D.M.C Happy Cotton, 0.7 oz (20 g), 47 yards (43 m) in the following colors and quantities: one dark green skein, one light brown skein, one beige skein, a few yards (meters) of black and dark brown yarn.
• Crochet hook, size D/3 (3 mm).
• Tapestry needle.
