The Monkey Hill Mitts are knit from wrist to fingertips (bottom up) in the round with the gusset stitches for the thumbs added as they are knit. The thumbs are completed after the main part of the mitts are bound off. These mitts feature a left and right handed mitt and are not reversible.

The Monkey Hill Mitts are the third pattern in my series of New Orleans inspired patterns featuring facets of life in southeast Louisiana. Monkey Hill is a area found in the Audubon Zoo where families often gather to let the children play and pass the time. I have many fond memories of my children playing on the hill.

I would like to thank my test knitters houndsmum, Knitswithdoxies, knitter2643, and DeniseinLa. You ladies are amazing.

I would also like to thank my Tech Editor, Kniterations for her eagle eyes and helpful suggestions on pattern flow.
