A beautiful crocheted sweater poncho or ‘swoncho’. Small triangles combined with interesting stitch patterns create a colourful and fun piece of clothing. The cuffs are made of triangles with flowers.

The pattern gives clear instructions for each round, with photos for the more intricate parts. It also gives instructions on how to use the colour changing yarn, in terms of when to use a darker of lighter shade.

It’s a one size fits all pattern; you can easily make it shorter or longer by adding rounds.

Measurements taken of the swoncho laying flat:

Width neckline: 8.7 inch/ 22 cm, so total circumference is 17.4 inch/44cm
Total width at the widest point: 46 inch/ 117 cm NB: this is measured flat, total circumference is 2 x 46 inch = 92 inch!
Total length: 19 inch/ 48 cm
Cuff length: 4 inch/ 10 cm
See drawing with measurements on the left.

Scheepjes Invicta Colour, 459 yards/420 meters/100g, fingering yarn
