Monogrammed Cup Cozy
Is there anything more holiday-y than soft, warm, and fuzzy knitted things? Throw in a toasty drink and the Hallmark moment practically writes itself! The Monogrammed Cup Cozy is the perfect, personalized gift for those who are looking for a quick make for the special people in their lives. Knit in a chunky weight yarn, the project can be worked up in the time it takes to watch a Netflix episode.
Materials:
US 8 knitting needles with cord long enough to work a magic loop (36”+ is recommended)
Recommended yarn: Ikigaifiber’s Chibi Paka Chunky Yarn. (55 yds (50 m) / 50 g)
1 MC with scrap yarn OR 2nd CC.
Two 50g hanks can yield 3 cup cozies
Gauge:
7.5 its x 14 rows = 2”x2” (blocked)
Finished Size:
4” wide by 4.25” tall
Notes:
- This pattern was written for a knitting class emphasizing the Magic Loop method as well as the Duplicate Stitch technique. If you are unfamiliar with these techniques, VeryPink Knits has wonderful tutorials on her YouTube page.
- Knowledge of Magic Loop is not necessary to work this pattern.
- Any method for working a small circumference in the round can be used.
- Due to the nature of knit stitches being wider than they are tall, the finished result of the monogram will look “squatter” than how it appears on the graphs included in this pattern.
