The Monolith Cowl uses stranded color work to create vertical bars on a background of garter stitch, which makes them really pop! This pattern is perfectly suited to two high contrast colors. One skein of each color is enough to complete not only the cowl, but the matching Monolith Hat! Swap the main and contrast colors for the hat, and you will have a piece that coordinates, but isn’t too matchy-matchy.
This worsted weight accessory is quick to knit and will keep you warm and cozy on cool spring nights. It also makes a great quick gift!Opal from Apple Fibers is an absolute squishy delight to work with, and I highly recommend it for this project!
