Basic pattern-reading skills and a basic knowledge of crochet stitches are needed (Sl st, Ch, Sc, dec, inc).
• Construction:
-The cube is worked from top to bottom, then the middle gaps are crocheted to form the mouth shape.
-The antenna, eyes, and feet are sewn to the body.
-All parts are made using a 2.00 mm crochet hook, except for the eyes, which are made with a smaller 1.00 mm crochet hook.
• Materials:
Yarn: Sport weight yarn. 274 yards (251 meters) 100 grams (3.53 ounces)
Hook: 2.00mm (or in accordance with the yarn you use).
Other materials: Fiberfill for stuffing, tapestry needle, scissors, pins, and plastic or cardboard sheets.
• Finished size:
Approximately cube height 11.5 cm (4.2’’)
Approximately cube width 9 cm (3.5’’)
• Note:
It is not necessary to use the recommended yarn and crochet hook. Using a larger or smaller hook with appropriate yarn will result in a larger or smaller toy, while maintaining the same proportions.
