Monster Rattles
This pattern is a lot of fun and leaves lots of room for creativity!
In the description I put the yarn that I used for this project, but any worsted weight yarn would work. A very small amount of the actual skein is used, so this would be a great way to use leftover bits of yarn. Whatever yarn you use, I recommend that it’s washable.
The rattle body is worked in the round as are most of the other pieces that can be added to it. Included in this pattern are four handle options and ten potential features including eyes, mouths, horns and spikes. The possibilities are endless!
There are several pictures in the pattern that show the different options as well as how to stuff the head and add the rattle.
Techniques used include:
M1L: right lifted increase
K2tog: knit two together
Ssk: slip slip knit
P2tog: purl two together
P2tog tbl: purl two together through back loop
Kfb: knit front and back
