This is a super versatile pattern for a pair of wool longies. I designed it to be worked flat with a seam on each side so that I could make it on my knitting machine. The waist band is shaped with elastic in a simple to make casing. The pattern has straight legs as requested, but adding a simple series of decrease stitches along the inseam would give a tighter-fitting, tapered leg.

With Halloween coming up, I thought a Monster theme would be fun, but if you change the color scheme and the facial features, they would be great for any holiday or even everyday!

Sizes can easily be adjusted to fit any little one. The instructions included are for Small (Medium, Large, X-Large) sizes to fit children with a waist measurement of 13(15,17,19) inches, a hip measurement of 17(19, 21, 23) inches, and an inseam of 8.5(10, 12, 13) inches.
