I have designed this monster themed basket as perfect for halloween sweets, or holding a few small toys, children can have fun playing with the monster eating their sweets and toys or even munching on their fingers.
The free pattern is available on my blog: https://amethystorm.co.uk/monster-toy-basket/
The pattern is for one size, approximately 10” tall and 18” circumference, gauge is unimportant but will affect the finished size.
The pattern is suitable for all abilities.
I used a homemade t-shirt yarn using 190m 380g weight, one of my testers used zpagetti tshirt yarn using just over 1 ball. Dk yarn is used for the teeth of the monster and I used approximately 4g/12.5M. You will also need felt and glue/sewing materials to make and stick the eyes/spots, alternatively you could crochet circles and sew these on.
Feel free to get creative with the colours, eye/s and spots on your monster and I’d love to see your finished products.
I hope you enjoy the pattern and if you have any questions contact me through Ravelry or on my Instagram @amethystormcrochet.
Happy Hooking :)
