Monstera raglan sweater
This sweater is worked top down, starting with ribbing, short-rows and raglan setup. The yoke is worked in one color while doing raglan increases. After sleeve separation Monstera leaves are done in stranded colorwork before bottom ribbing finish. Sleeves are done in “rainy window” style (P3, K1 alternating).
Sizes and fit, see table in picture.
Yarn selection:
I recommend using a heavily variegated fingering yarn for CC (leaves) and holding it double.
Yardage is
73% MC and 27% CC if CC is held double.
85% MC and 15% CC if both are worked single strand.
Material:
4mm circular needles 40cm/16’’, 60cm/24’’ and 80 cm/32’’ for a comfortable increase.
3.5mm 40 cm/16’’ and 80 cm/32’’ circular needle for sleeves and for body finish.
Scrap yarn for holding sleeves. Nine markers.
Testers rated pattern difficulty 5/10. Some previous experience in colorwork is recommended.
