This design was inspired by a children’s colour-work cardigan knit by my mom for each of my 2 sisters in the 1970’s!

It is knit from the top down, in one piece, beginning with the collar. The collar and yoke with stranded colour-work are knit in the round. Before dividing the body and sleeve stitches, short rows are worked while a small number of raglan increases are made. The body and sleeves are then worked in the round.

Fit Options:
Instructions are written for standard Women’s sizing and standard Men’s/Unisex sizing. Recommended ease is 3 - 7 inches (8 - 18 cm).

Key differences between the fit options are that the Men’s/Unisex fit has: longer body and sleeves, wider sleeves and cuffs, and a deeper yoke, compared to the Women’s.

The Women’s body length is slightly cropped and measures 32-35 cm (depending on size) from the underarm. If you wish to lengthen it, you may need more MC yarn than given below.
