This is a pattern for a rectangular shawl that’s created using a single cable lace stitch, that makes quite a statement. The shawl itself is knit in a single piece which is 22 inches x 72 inches. There are instructions contained within the pattern for three optional crocheted edgings: (1) One that is simply crocheted (2) one that is crocheted with size #8 Japanese seed beads and (3) one that is crocheted with size #6 Japanese seed beads. All three of the edgings use a single crochet, so that if you’re familiar with that stitch, there are instructions for a bead single crochet (bsc).

Skill Level for Knitted Shawl: Intermediate - Intermediate + (assuming a basic knowledge of cable-lace knitting).
Skill Level for Optional Edgings: Beginner + (assuming some working knowledge of crochet)

The stitch is both charted and written out line by line. However, I recommend this pattern for people who are familiar with charts.
