Why do knitting patterns usually give identical sizing for the front and back of the pattern, when women generally are a different shape at the front from the back?

This pattern gives sizing not just in back but also in cup sizes. It is designed to be flattering for the curvier figure.

It is knitted flat and seamed at the sides, but joined with 3 needle cast-off at the shoulders.
