This hat was inspired by the popular “Moon Boots” of the 1960’s! Everyone that knits this hat writes to us with one sentence. “I love it”! It is really easy to knit. And fun to watch the pattern stitch grow into ridges as you “climb” your knitting to the top of hat! We like the combination of plain color ridges over a variegated yarn, but you can chose any color combination, using up your scrap yarns. This uses worsted weight yarns, and you will need a 16” circular needle, US # 10. Plus a few double pointed needles for the very few last rows of decreasing. This fits the head well!
