Knit the lunar phases in a headband, perfect for star-gazing!

This headband is worked in the round using Fair Isle stranded techniques, and uses just a little of each of the colours - so you’ll need less than one ball of background and moon colour. Doesn’t “cosmos” seem like the perfect colour to use for this project?

There’s quite a bit of give in Jamieson’s DK, but if you need to make it larger, you could put two stitches between each moon, and see if that helps. It wouldn’t be so easy to make it smaller, though you could try using smaller needles. Yes, I know I haven’t put a gauge - this is because I can measure the same thing twice and get a different measurement each time - and your head is probably a different shape and size to mine…….

It’s fun, and quick to knit, and I hope you enjoy making it, and wearing it!
