moondance felted cushion cover
Now I have heard a story about the lady who wanted to keep her wool stash secret from the rest of the family as they seemed to be intimating that she might have a hoarding problem, now ladies (and any gentlemen out there reading this who are part of the knitting hood) we know that the words “too much” and “wool” make an oxymoron, but, in order to keep the murmurings to a minimum and maintain her outward appearance of not having too much wool(!), she devised a cunning plan and emptied all of the stuffing out of her cushions and replaced said stuffing with her wonderful yarn collection! A magnificent solution that we could all perhaps take note of… the following pattern will take care of both the above points, we are going to make a cushion out of some of that lovely yarn and then if you feel like you must hide your stash, stuff the cushion with it!
It takes around 160 grams of yarn to make this cushion cover and you can buy a kit from Margie at www.moondancewools.com to make it in her lovely soft Shetland yarn. It measures about 30 cms in diameter and is about 10 cms deep. It is knitted and felted, so you will need to know how to felt. I sell separate felting notes and instructions which give you universal calculations so that you can knit and felt and know that everything will be alright..
You will also need 2 60 cm circular needles, size 4.5mm.
