This pattern is recommended to be knit on 24” circular knitting needles, but is not worked in the round. (The length of needles supports the width.)

The original pattern calls for 3-5 buttons (with one fastening the top). However, the instructions say that the capelet can be fastened with a pin instead, ignoring the buttons and buttonholes.
