Moonrock is a classic summer top with just a hint of sleeves. It is designed for casual wear as a loose fit, so there is no waist shaping. A few increases next to the slits at the bottom of the top create a very subtle A-line. Front and back start at the shoulder and are worked from the same provisionally cast-on shoulder/sleeve stitches down. At armpit, you´ll join for working in the round and split for working in rows again at the bottom of the body.

The unique Ito fibres give the piece its special character. Ito Gami Picot does not need texture to create an interesting and sumptuous fabric. And the playful paper-garland shaped Ito Tategami adds a stylish accent by adding in a contrast coloured stripe at the front. Use the original yarn and join me in my journey exploring these stunning fibres, or let your creativity rein free and replace the yarn. Bouclé textured yarn is a good choice, and, depending on the season you are planning this for, ramie, rayon, silk or alpaca and cashmere are great substitutes.

Mondstein ist ein klassisches Sommertop mit nur angedeuteten Ärmeln. Es fällt leicht und locker und kommt somit ohne Taillierung aus. Am unteren Ende des Bodys befinden sich zu beiden Seiten Schlitze. An ihren Rändern werden einige Zunahmen gearbeitet, wodurch sich eine subtile A-Form ergibt.

Habt ihr vielleicht ein ganz besonderes Garn bei euch liegen, für das ihr bisher noch nicht das passende Projekt gefunden habt? Dann könnte der schlichte Mondstein genau das richtige Template für eure Wolle sein. Im Original geben die einmaligen Ito-Fasern dem Oberteil einen sehr speziellen Charakter. Ito Gami Picot braucht kein Muster, sondern verleiht auch einfachem glatt bzw. kraus rechtem Gestrick seinen ganz eigenen spröde-glänzenden Charme. Und Ito Tategami, das unverstrickt an eine Papiergierlande erinnert, setzt mit dem roten Streifen einen stilvollen Akzent. Alternativ zu den hier genannten Fasern eignen sich auch Bouclé-Garne für Mondstein. Je nach der Jahreszeit, für die das Top geplant ist, können Ramie, Rayon, Seide oder auch Alpaka bzw. Cashmere verwendet werden.
