One of the prettiest lakes in Canada was the inspiration for this pattern. In the olden days, cable trams and railways were the link to access the remote areas of the Rocky Mountains. My love of the outdoors, especially hiking at Moraine Lake, Alberta, Canada, is my ode and aptly named socks - Moraine Lake Cable Socks.

This pattern is a top-down sock with multiple cables and a heel flap. Rated intermediate but advanced beginners will find it a small step up in skills but easily able to complete.

Yarn: Fingering weight and uses less than one 100g skein. I knit these socks in Berroco Vintage Sock yarn in color Sky Blue.

Size: Adult Small (Medium, Large)/ 38 (39, 40). Finished measurements (unstretched): 7.5 (8.5, 9.5)”/ 19 (21.5, 24) cm and stretches comfortably up to about 9 (10, 11)”/ 23 (25, 28) cm circumference.

Leg and foot length vary depending on recipient requirements.

Notions:
Fingering yarn, Double Pointed Needles, cable needle, stitch markers, tape measure, tapestry needle and scissors.
