Morgan is a relaxed fit colourwork hat made with the lovely Skein Queen Crush, (hand dyed in the UK), producing a hat that is both lightweight and warm. The contrast colour, Snowfields, has subtle speckles of rose, blue, and brown while the main colour, Highclere Castle, is a beautiful semi-solid purplish brown.
There are no long floats or complicated stitch patterns in Morgan, making it perfect for beginners or those looking for an easy, rhythmic colourwork project.
Skein Queen Crush is perfect for this project but the yarn possibilities are endless and we encourage you to experiment with colours. This project is also great for sweater leftovers and busting some stash! See my projects for other colour/yarn ideas.
Top your hat off with a fun pom pom or wear it without one. Make a big, small, or in between yarn pom pom or use a faux fur pom pom…make it your own! (Shown here with Silver Fox faux fur pom pom.)
