Slip-stitch pinstripes in lofty merino/cotton form a subtly embossed texture for this comfortable, live-in-able, #SizeInclusive pullover. A bit of A-line shaping and set-out sleeves give you room to move, while seams and a lateral braid at the back neck provide structure, and simple rolled edges finish the design.

To make Morning Beach, you will need to know how to knit, purl, slip stitches, and seam. Pattern includes guidance on sizing and customization, instructions for working the lateral braid, and a tutorial for working the German Short Rows used in the shoulder shaping.

Sample is size 2, worn with 6 in/15cm of ease at the full chest on a 5 ft 9 in/175 cm tall model.

Finished Chest Circumference

40 (43, 47, 50.5) (54, 57.5, 60.75) (64.25, 67.75) in / 101.5 (109, 119.5, 128.5) (137, 146, 154.5) (163, 172) cm

Choose a size that is approximately 5-9 in/12.5-23 cm larger than your chest circumference right at the underarms, a.k.a. the high bust. The Pattern Notes provide tips on adjusting the fit for more room at the front, if needed. See schematic for more detailed measurements.

About the Yarn

Berroco Arno is a DK-weight merino/cotton blend yarn with an interesting construction: the fibres are blown into a chainette tube, making a light, soft, fuzzy yarn with good yardage for the weight.

If using different yarn for your project, look for a DK weight yarn that gives a fabric you like at the pattern’s gauge. You will need approximately 1738 (1908, 2067, 2254) (2426, 2597, 2808) (2979, 3170) yds/1589 (1745, 1890, 2061) (2218, 2375, 2568) (2724, 2899) m
