Oversized and cozy, for easy wear and current day style.
This boxy cardigan is worked from the top down, in one piece. Short rows are used to shape the shoulders. The sleeves are picked up at the armholes and knit from the top down. The neck and front bands are picked up and worked at the end.
Hand warmers in photo are not part of sweater.
Sizes XS (S, M, L, XL, 2X, 3X)
46.25 (48.75, 52.25, 56.5, 60.75, 64.75, 68.25) inches/ 117.5 (123.75, 132.75, 143.5, 154.25, 164.5, 173.25)cm. Size S is shown on model in photo with 15 inches/38cm of positive ease at bust. The sweater is intended to be worn with 13 to 17 inches of positive ease in the bust.
Gauge:
19 sts x 24 rounds/rows = 4 inches /10 cm in St st
Yarn:
Quince & Co., Lark; 50 g, 134 yd/123 m, 100% American wool, River, 10 (11, 12, 13, 15, 16, 18) skeins
Or use any similar worsted weight yarn that achieves gauge: 1310 (1420, 1580, 1720, 1930, 2120, 2280) yds/ 1200 (1300, 1440, 1570, 1760, 1940, 2080) m
Needles:
Sizes 8 (5mm): 32-inch/80 cm circular and set of 4 double-pointed needles for sleeves (or use Magic Loop method for sleeves).
Adjust needle size if necessary to obtain gauge.
