This jacket is perfect for those summer mornings where it’s still a little cold, but not enough to bring a coat. The slip stitch pattern adds a subtle colour detail and creates and interesting visual effect. Experiment with low or high contrast colours, variegated or colour changing contrast colours, or knit this pattern in one colour only! Either way you will have a beautiful jacket for the perfect misty morning.

The jacket is knit flat and bottom up, after which stitches are picked up for the sleeves, which are knit in the round. Stitches are picked up along the front for the button bands, then along the neckline for the collar. Finally, the pockets are knit separately and sewn onto the jacket.

The jacket comes in sizes 1(2;3;4;5) (6;7;8;9).
A) bicep circumference: 37(39;41;43;45) (48;52;55,5;59) cm
B) chest circumference: 97(106;115;124;133) (142;151;160;169) cm
C) shoulder to chest: 20(21; 22;23;24) (25;25,5;26;26,5) cm
D) underarm length (customisable): 33 cm (C and D together make total length of garment)
E) sleeve length; (customisable) 39 cm.

Yarn:Main colour: Woolyknit British wool 4ply in the colour charcoal, held double.
1(1;1;1;1) (2;2;2;2) cones (500 grams) or 2890(3310;3760;4240;4745) (5277;5725;6185;6660) yards.

Contrast colour: BellaLana Gute Laune sock yarn in the colour 312, held double. 2(2;3;3;3) (3;4;4;4) skeins (100 grams) or
677(777;882;995;1114) (1240;1344;1451;1563) yards.

The jacket uses two different yarns held double (so two strands of Woolyknit British wool for one colour and two strands of BellaLana Gute Laune for the other colour). If you don’t like knitting with that many strands, you can swap out one or both yarns for a DK weight yarn which you can hold single.

The nine sizes are colourcoded for easier reading, but if you have trouble reading lower-contrast text, there is a version without coloured letters also available for you.
